The Russia cannot go nuclear vs Ukraine.
Using a nuclear weapons in an offensive war will be too much for countries over the world.
Unless Russia uses only small Rockets, but then USA will give Ukraine conventional missiles to strike Moscow.
So ATM both countries are fighting with one hand only.

There are some limits to how many soldiers Russia can draft from people. nobody knows the exact limit. But they can't just draft endlessly.
They are also slowly running out of ammunition, out of tanks and other equipment.
They also start having budżet problems.
So no, the Russians cannot indefinitely fight the war on full scale.

Yup, they didnt manage to stop Ukraine electricity in the winter.
They fight for Bachmut for like 5 months already.
This is because they have limited resources, limited ammunition.

Sily boy Putin is not going to launch nukes over western world if an airport in Moscow gets hit by Ukraine defending their own country from Russian assault.
He is evil, but doesnt want to end the world.
