when i returned from panama i have had two people asking me "they have supermarkets over there?", as if everything outside the west is congo'/afghanistan style poverty

find a way to get paid and you can live well enough in most places

if clean tap water is good enough for someone to stay in a place with a shit lifestyle, awful wages (compared to prices) and insane taxes + toxic people.....go ahead i dont care

on the one hand:

one side is right, people born in western country have a natural advantage over alot of people on the planet, this is fact.
the other side is also right, in western countries the working class is ever been given a raw deal. this is also fact.

therefore, as both sides are championing their position, and willfully ignoring the fundamental basic's of the other argument, both sides are proving to be very entertaining, to me. sorry.

Is the fence really that comfortable?

On one side the west middle class can spit on people in charge - literally - and not even do jail or like few days.
On the other you are lucky if it's 10 years or a bullet in the head (Because they can also hurt your whole family)

Not sure if you can do a "both" side on this. Oh wait: Not at all.

Regarding compromise in Ukraine: Considering Putin clearly tried to seize whole country and to assassinate the actual president. along with war crimes... Nope.

Some fair points, let me add my commentary and pose some questions for anyone to answer.

Ok, what does that look like?
If someone is disappointed with their life in Germany/Europe/West. What is the life you want for yourself? And how are we going to accomplish it?

The caveat to any answer is, there are probably billions of people who would happily accept the quality of life we have in Europe. Ergo migrants crossing bodies of water in inflatable dinghies.

The second and greatest irony that I see in the positions people are taking is. Where you live, you have the freedom and opportunity to complain. You literally don't have that in many places.
Somebody in a previous generation sacrificed and perhaps even died to afford you that freedom.

What will you choose to do with that freedom? Use it complain about how bad your life of relative opulence and freedom is?
