Fair points.
I do think the line can be blurred with the rhetoric used in this thread; quite often the framework for the presented narrative is anti "west" and not just anti Us government.
Its as if anything projected from "the west" is doomed to be a bad thing; While much of the foreign policy out of the US and others deserves massive scrutiny. It is as though any "net gains" of western values are trashed in the aforementioned narrative.
The West and even the US and same could be said of Middle East and China and Japan etc etc have given a lot vice versa to the world for the past hundreds of years or so, for some even longer than that.
But that being said different culture and different values, it is difficult to mash everything into one melting pot, particularly for countries which are extremely diverse with a lot of inhabitants.
The anti west framework is because in my opinion that a lot of people view the West as being led by the United States which I believe is untrue. Scotish ,English, French , German, Italian values are different from what the United States are advocating.
There might be similarities in political ideologue to a certain point. But they are very different.
I think once we can separate and pin point the differences, perhaps the Anti West Narrative will not be Anti West Narrative anymore.
I mean who the wants to be Anti Aussies or Anti Kiwis or Anti Irish etc etc .at the moment.
