We can't keep deconstructing narratives and pretending it doesn't matter. Whether or not protesters were bringing zip ties to abduct congressman/senators is important. Whether or not an officer was murdered is important. And if the officer wasn't murdered, and people continue to pretend that he was, we really have to ask why.

This sort of stuff is a major reason I vote for Democrats. I used to listen to Laura Ingraham all the time in 2015 and 2016... I can't fathom how she could go on national television and mock police officers who defended the Capitol against an insurrection. It's so strange how Trumpism has turned so many people into evil trolls.

I'm not going to get into arguments with Jan. 6th denialists because it's too depressing and frustrating... but I'm pretty sure a day or two after the insurrection, there was an hour long video on YouTube from one of the insurrectionists that included Ashli Babbit being shot, and it shows how unhinged and violent at least part of the mob was. Why people choose to believe silly things about an event you could literally watch on YouTube right now is perplexing to me.

Back in the day if you were a paranoid skeptic, at least you had the excuse that the newspapers were controlled by the globalists or whatever, and you just didn't accept the popular narrative. But today we literally have video of what happened inside, and a decent portion of the country still continues to believe nonsense.
