Another person who's never been in a fight, been choked, or choked anyone else.
Why do you think there's a "tap out" rule in MMA? When you're being choked, there are two basic types of choke. One cuts off blood flow to the brain. In that chokehold, you're out within 10 seconds. The other is the standard asphyxiation choke, where you're preventing oxygen to the lungs. In an asphyxiation choke, you can not speak. And certainly not for 8 minutes.
Idiots abound.
I have been in fights, choked people and been choked (In and out of the bed room), there is also various other variations of chokes that you seem to be unaware of?
You can speak during most blood chokes and they can take a lot longer than 10 seconds to take effect.
