https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1372909898300854285This is something I've been thinking about lately, as it's come out by the American intelligence community that many high profile Republicans(Nunes, Johnson, etc) have laundered material on Biden that was floated by Russian intelligence assets.
Republicans and right-wingers view many Americans who disagree with them, particularly Democrats, as the enemy. So partnering with hostile countries like Russia to find dirt on Democrats isn't out of bounds for them. According to the Flight 93 logic(which was an article written in 2016 about how Democrats getting elected is the end of America), partnering with hostile countries against domestic political foes isn't that out of bounds.
It's the same logic that enabled the Capitol insurrection. When you think a new party taking control of part of the government would result in the end of the country, it's easy to justify illegal behavior.
So, when I see Hannity and others talking of Putin's ridiculous maneuvers as legitimate statecraft that should worry Biden, I'm not surprised. These people identify with Putin far more than they do with Biden.
We have already covered, at great length, how the Democratic party used Russian and other foreign assets to try and procure damaging information on Trump.
High-ranking Democratic officials maintained active relations with Iranian officials, a country that we
know has killed and is trying to kill Americans, in an effort to directly undermine American foreign policy.
In the first case, however, it would not be bad to procure damaging information on Trump from whatever source unless that information is false, as was unfortunately the case. The damaging information on Hunter Biden does not appear to be false, so we are all justifiably concerned that Biden is calling him the "...smartest guy I know".
