i specifically said other reasons as well and he simply ignored it. he is literally blind. he finds words and phrases he does not like and then launches on to another of his crusades. its very hard to converse with him. ill go back to simply ignoring him.

what about my reply suggests to you i am "triggered"? i did not insult you, i did not misrepresent what you posted, i just calmly explained to you what the difference between a reasonable argument and a whataboutism designed to silence criticism is, what the difference between a fact and a narrative is. "yOu'Re tRiGgErEd bY wOrDs" / "rEaD mOrE" does nothing to refute that.

you're very obviously just looking for a cheap out. i am not "blind" for not guessing what you could mean by "other reasons", i just ignored it because it does literally nothing to refute my point that your argument ('russia could not tolerate losing their naval port') is solely based on narrative, not fact. 'other reasons' does not change that. FACT is that russia would NOT have lost its base with a pro western government in kyiv. they had a valid treaty regarding the issue, which secured russian ownership until 2042 at the very least. how difficult is that to understand? they were not forced to invade crimea, they chose to.
