mick wallace, very interesting character for sure. generally, i'd consider his heart in the right place (he condemned the russian invasion of ukraine btw), but he often gets carried away with his contrarian positions and self-righteousness.

that said, i very much agree with his comments on american foreign policy, and european (including german) arms exports to terrorist nations like saudi-arabia, turkey, israel...

still, my core issue with highlighting this remains: two wrongs don't make a right. you might be able to silence people who uncritically support american foreign policy that way, but to any principled person, who also opposes those injustices, it's just a silly attempt to bothsides a brutal war, the murdering of countless innocent people for national interests.

This is off topic imho. He did not open his mouth about the dozens of millions people who died because of China or USSR...

if there was deliberate systematic killing of civilians, that number would be 10x if not more.

The ratio is low comparatively speaking.

Compare it to the vietnam war, 21000 (low-end) - 105000(high-end) civilian deaths per year.

no. that's just an arbitrary number you came up with to downplay russia's demonstrable deliberate killing of civilians. there is no actual reasoning or logic behind your claim. again, "deliberately" does not mean "exclusively" or "systematically" or "predominantly" or "extensively" or whatever cheap semantic pivot you want to try next. they deliberately targeted civilians, and over 8,000 died. those are facts. ask your handlers for better talking points. that one has been debunked by countless reports...
