It's a shame that vitamin d and a good BMI itself should be enough to keep most individual out of hospitals for covid right. Just so we're clear what exactly are you expecting from getting an "experimental vaccines" into your body

indeed i do pump vitamin D daily, and have lost weight as kind of a mild "wake up call", had a kid this year too and id say that more factors into the health kick.

as to the vaccine increased immunity to c19, i already had covid by long enough ago i likely have lost antibodies per the research. it was free, work even let me go mid day without a hassle, etc. i'd like to visit with family relatively guilt free, see my grand parents and parents.

i was a smoker, heavy drinker, serial bad diet, and experimental drug user. i dont think a vaccine is something that will mess me up, if it does i'll be one of hundreds of millions i guess.

That's a very respectable and wise choice, It's sad to see the subject of vaccine so heated up it's separating people when it's the thing they need in a difficult period.

people feel aggressed upon. like those who refuse will stop them from being able to go out and do things they want to do, after over a year of lockdown.

im more of the opinion that whether its 1%, 5%, or 30% who refuse to get vaccinated my life will mostly be the same. but if i do i can see family.

that's why it shouldn't be a mandatory vaccine but a free choice.
if it works, why should vaccinated people feel endangered by a non vaccinated ones?

on a side note, they started encouraging pregnants women in ireland to get vaccinated, or vaccinate their children after birth.

i hear more talk about it becoming mandatory than actual examples of it being mandatory.

as to the other point herd immunity for a vaccinated population means if all people are vaccinated and have 95% immunity not only is it nearly impossible to reach epidemic levels, but spread is severely stagnated even in small populations.

20 people could contact a c19 positive person not wearing a mask and only 1 would get c19, then if he/she is replaced by 1 more vaccinated person the next day, still only 1 gets sick on the next round of contact.

if however 30% of those 20 people, aka 6 people, are not vaccinated, that same 20 person contact group is going to see 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 contract covid. then the next day the spread is far more rapid.

pockets of unvaccinated people can perpetuate the epidemic effect, even if its far lower than what it was previous to vaccination.

these localized out breaks will make headline news, and will be seized upon by politicians to perpetuate lockdown procedures, keep mask mandates in place, etc.

as to the last point, as a father to a 9 month old and a husband to a nursing wife we will NOT get either vaccinated anytime in the near future.

the fact that we're only talking about positive cases and not the death cases is what makes this thing the biggest of all jokes.
if it was even half as dangerous as it was being said, there would be shittons of work places opened around the globe now due to all the dead people on the streets, as they told us from china in early 2020

almost every single country in the world has less overall mortality in 2019/2020 than in any year of a whole decade prior to those years.

yeah we're expecting a baby in september too, which is why I'm extra concerned about this thing cos I don't want her or a baby to get jabbed, at all.

Let me know the side effects go for the second dose. Everyone says it's pretty strong. My father said he felt terrible for an hour or two and then it went away.
