Did you see the pigs in riot gear protecting this man's house? They wouldn't execute a warrant of they got one.

I didn't know you guys had such a police problem.

And you were offering them skilled tradesmen? No? Then why is this your natural response?

Go back to my first post regarding what could be done to insure jobs for inmates after their incarceration. Why would a union want unskilled labor with a rap sheet? Why would any business? If you offer them highly skilled and experienced trained labor, then the willingness to overlook the rap sheet suddenly materializes.

And even if the businesses "that exist" don't particularly want them, assuming they were to receive that training, they could easily post on the punch boards at their local stores, put their name out as contractors. And let's be honest, the average person and business hiring for contract work isn't performing intense background checks. Hell, for that matter, half the employers who claim they're going to do background checks along with drug screenings never do background checks, merely the drug screenings. Telling me there's simply "no hope" is such a bald overstatement it's almost silly, and you know it.

I'm sure the victims of the riots would agree with you, if they were still alive to do so.

You're doing that thing again where you assume you know more than you do.

Snipa said "even entirely unskilled unions", as in the work being done by that union is unskilled, and so an unskilled person would fit right in. It doesn't matter that the place of business "isn't performing intense background checks", because pretty much any background check will turn up a prison sentence. Additionally, background checks are baked into the hiring system at every place I've worked, including Papa Johns 10 years ago. So I doubt there's many places left that have you consent to a background check and then don't do it. It's all automated and takes like a $20 fee and 30 seconds in the age of computers.

When I watched To Kill A Mockingbird I thought Gregory Peck sitting outside the jailhouse was the good guy, not the lynch mob

I really hope the city of Minneapolis consider not renewing their contract with the Police. Maybe a third party security agency would do better. The optics are terrible, the police union looking a fool, not sure how to sway the public opinion back.

I've read some comments about the impacts of the riots should be on government, not businesses. I mostly agree with that sentiment, however US politics is run deep by some of these corporations and their lobbyist. And we have a corporate socialist society, so the message should be sent to gov and corporate IMO. A blow to a huge corporation would probably have more political sway than targeting the Mayor.

It breaks my heart seeing small time business owners get caught up in the mix though, they already getting boned by big corp AND gov.

Lol rent-a-cops is your answer? These people would probably make 2/3 of a real cop with non of the fringe benefits, you really think they'd give af about enforcing anything?

I think crime stats are going to go up significantly this summer as more police forces pull back because enforcing the law where crime happens is systemic racism now.

reminds one of the convenience store in Ferguson owned by a little immigrant dude from India or somewhere else in South Asia that was trashed during the protests. him being a minority wasn’t important as the protestors trashing his store

Your posts lacks value. I addressed that point specifically. Why would ANY union or ANY business want unskilled and untrained labor with a rap sheet when they can get it without the rap sheet? I also said nothing about "intense background checks". I said "background checks".

Stop attempting to rewrite my posts. I chose my words quite well. Your post completely lacks either a point, or an argument, you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.
