nothing new. for liberals, "pro-diversity" and "pro-immigration" always meant "for blacks, latinos and arabs". east asians are too white and too focused on education, hard work and forging one's own destiny instead of calling for the nanny state, i.e. entitlements and redistribution.

I have yet to see a single left leaning poster here reference that skit as funny.

afaik, we dont have any polls for that race, so we dont know who was the favorite. perhaps stephanie chang was favored to win in a landslide all along. we dont know if, or how much, this scandal moved the needle.

what we know is that stephanie chang is a current member of the michigan house of representatives, while the racist black gal last held elected office in 2011. so it seems safe to assume that she was an outsider candidate without much of a chance anyway.

exactly. joe crowley was the hands on favorite to win his primary. and why did he lose in the biggest upset of this primary season? because he, as She Guevara has alluded to, is an old white dude and therefore cant properly represent a hyperdiverse district like NY 14.

and lets not forget that her shocking upset of Crowley was won in an extremely low-turnout race, with only 13% of registered democrats in the district participating.

Sadly, i think you're spot on. Conservatives keep her more relevant than liberals. She is the worst candidate to run for the presidency in the modern ERA. Libs would like her and grabass Bill to fade into black.

She is to republicans what G.W Bush is to democrats.
