Shapiro talks fast because he thinks fast. I don't agree with him on a lot of things, but he's very intelligent.
He's also a skilled debater. He's spent most of his career debating people in media and on college campuses, sharpening his ideas and positions. He'd cream Ocasio-Cortez in a debate. Not because her ideas are necessarily worse but primarily because she's not as equipped as Shapiro in articulating her positions.
