Not sure, I've seen claims from both sides throughout the war but nothing really definitive. I err on the side of no simply because I don't think the advantage of using them would outweigh the costs if it were reported on.

Western media treats Ukraine with kid gloves but I think they realize that chemical attacks would not sell well in the west, no matter the spin.

I don't think there have been any major offenses since Soledar. Id imagine the winter conditions ramping up while gains were slow going prior has armies being conservative. For those who aren't used to cold, digging into frozen earth is factors harder than warm. Not worth digging new trench lines, also existing would be hardened.

This just my speculation, once winter breaks might be a push before permafrost layer melts and mudd season begin
