It's almost like there is a distinction between searching for a debate with your opponent in a congressional race and a right wing talk show host who isn't politician running for office.

This is in no way endorsing her views or debating skills as I don't really know much about her. It just doesn't strike me as a fair comparison.

she was boasting about how she walked into crowley's office and tried to force him into a debate though - a private debate that wouldnt have meant anything to the voters and would only have served her own ego.
