Isnt there any ongoing political realignment, with the Democrats increasingly becoming a coalition between privileged limousine liberals and wokeness-focused minorities while the Republicans are increasingly becoming the party of "middle america" both in a geographical and a social hierarchy sense?
If(!) this realignment persists after 2020 (and it might not), then it would only be logical for this "new" Democratic party to abandon old, predominantly white and pointedly unwoke unions.
i mean there are shifts, but some things are still traditionally the way they are until boomers arent a large voting bloc

We’re 1-2 election cycles away from republicans curb stomping the democrats because of this shift. I don’t really think the democrats have the Hispanic vote on lockdown. Many Hispanics are socially conservative, if the republicans nominate a Hispanic for office in 2024 I think they coast to a win. There will be a backlash against the woke+ privileged left crowd trying to domineer over everyone else.
yeah if they go some combo of Haley/other conservative woman candidate that everyone seems to like, along with candidate that’s Hispanic and fairly moderate or whatever that means in 2024, it’ll be a tough ticket to beat even if they’re running after Trump’s 2nd term if it happens
