well it is true that (regardless of how he would wreck the pillar of US Democracy) donald trump WOULD be able to end the war if he was elected. He has already outlined that he is opposed to the war. A minority position. Biden could end the war tomorrow if he wanted to (hint: he does not want to).
also, someone, not me, raised the balloon story in this topic. i responded. you responded. i referred it to the US China topic.
this is the Ukraine topic yes. so we dont need to talk about a balloon here.

The US says additional military aid to Ukraine worth $2.2bn (£1.83bn) will include long-range missiles capable of doubling its attack range.

The package includes ground-launched small-diameter bombs (GLSDB) which can hit targets 150km (93 miles) away.

I think this is still in the range of "acceptable" for russia. some bright spark might chime in. (russia does not want the US to provide long range weapons of 230km+, apparently)

"Flower's protests" ... This low, but at least it give some hope, even if almost all "experts" are not expecting a revolt atm.
Repression is real: There's like a million+ of police guards, I made the calculation some weeks ago: Russia has at least 2 times more local police than France per inhabitant, and this is only the basic police guards, it does not include militaries or others armed groups (ie: armed FSB, militaries, "personal" armies...). Lol i bet they would even use Wagner against their own people.

If you mean Biden can stop sending Ukraine military aid, then that's something else.

This war isn't ending anytime soon unfortunately. Even after it "officially ends" an insurgency will continue.
