One black person, even if that black person is in a position of authority, does not mean that group is having their needs represented.

That's a pretty damn broad statement. What needs are you referring to? What group are you referring to?

Correct, and they do not make society worse by enforcing criminal law (though they do also do other things as well).

Cops don't create laws. They arrest people for breaking the law, and then other parties take over.

Reforms should be done by these Democratic governor's and mayors if actual changes need to be made in regards to the criminal justice system. A lot of these issues appear to be present in locations with long Democratic leadership. Chicago, San Francisco, LA, New York City, St. Louis

The police fill a need in community, the need for policing. Different communities have different needs from the police. One person from a group being represented in the police does not mean the police are fulfilling the needs of that group within the community.

If done correctly this is why there should be some defunding. As they in my opinion are asked to wear way too many "hats"

Well sure but they shouldn't be making it worse and ought to be held to a higher standard

I'd say when police enforce laws designed to be unevenly enforced they are actively making society worse.

I'm not aware of any police departments that follow that kind of make-up though. I'm only aware of places like Ferguson where the police are massively white policing a majority black area.

Well, the unit from the Miami PD in that twitter clip looked very diverse. That the make-up is different in states like Minnesota or Wisconsin shouldnt surprise anyone.
