He was likely in a hysterical state which cause his breathing trouble. There isnt evidence that the officer was cutting off air in any way other than keeping him in a position that caused panic.

huh? How is that defending the cop? It was obviously an abuse of power and an act of brutality. Being accurate does not equal defending actions.
