i posted my opinion based on a sweeping number of topics. a decade or so of the mostly idiotic conservative book bans, the newer trend of kids at drag shows (bad), LGBTQ themes book readings (mostly harmless), trans youth care generally, critical race theory, etc. which i'm almost entirely not opposed to, but do have some small gripes with, and would like to keep an eye on.

pulling out adhoms is cute tho. you can heed deez nuts for all i care, i just posted my opinion as someone who has kids and isn't a rabid foaming mouth leftist or right winger and you asked for receipts.



i think it's simple, 2 categories.

Inappropriate: behavior that isn't necessarily illegal, but should be discourage socially, and shouldnt get you on a sex offenders list for life.

Abuse: jail, stigma for life, sex offenders list, rot in hell.

The left's position is "teach kids about the factual state of the world".

The right's position is "if you are trans and in proximity to kids you are literally abusing them and should be imprisoned".

Not really hyperbolic when the most subscribed people in conservative circles such at Matt Walsh and Steven Crowder, and their most popular Governor in Ron DeSantis are literally taking these actions.



This is the part where you say you aren't taking the forum very seriously. You made specific claims, and then walked them back, and then fall back on "I'm a centrist dog", when you can't cite any examples of the left being a boogeyman but are met with several examples of the right being such.

I am disliked by people who hate the truth. The more people like you hate me, the more I know I'm right.

If that's true then they should be consistent and teach kids about other types of paraphilia, such as beastiality and necrophilia. But they only focus on one class of sexual deviants, aka the trans and drag queens.

5 years ago i'd argue both of those type people as niche, but you're right they no longer are. even people like shapiro and peterson have moved way right on trans issues. which is why i lay most of the blame on them. there sadly is almost zero right winged spaces that hold the old "do what u want" position.

and to a far lesser extent we have bud light thinking its lucrative to use the most tokenized trans person ive ever seen as a spokesperson. its an odd tug of war for the american people. we somehow got to here from "use the bathroom u feel comfortable in". strange times.

The difference is churches being dens of abuse is just a fact. We have basically every major sect involved in active cover ups of sexual abuse. Catholics the world over, Baptists, Mormons, etc.

Whereas LGBTQIABBQ events actively keep kids out if it isn't appropriate, and the attacks on those groups are entirely fabricated.
