That's simply not true.

It's also funny that Trump cultists talk about the criminals during Trump's administration as directed by his enemies but now that Biden is president the same criminals are evidence that Biden is incompetent.

Source? My understanding is that the FBI warned social media companies before the election that Russia might release disinformation. I may be wrong, but there was not a specific accusation from them about Hunter Biden.

And the FBI's warning made perfect sense obviously, because that's what the Russians do, and that's the FBI does(protecting America).

https://judiciary.house.gov/media/in-the-news/biden-campaign-blinken-orchestrated-intel-letter-discredit-hunter-biden-laptop

The Biden campaign, with Blinken playing point role, arranged the letter by "51 former intelligence officials" that falsely claimed the Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. They were making a specific claim that the laptop itself was a fake produced by Russia to influence the election, which the FBI knew to be false because they had possession of the laptop and knew its genuine contents. That included John Brennan, James Clapper & Leon Panetta all joining in a fraudulent statement, which itself was manipulating the election with disinformation.
The contemporary FBI both suppressed the investigation into Hunter Biden, shelving it during the election- explicitly telling agents not to investigate Hunter Biden- and put out that statement to social media companies telling them to suppress "Russian disinformation" on their platforms, that general warning without being specific to the Biden saga.

This is an example of laundering responsibility while clearly and obviously playing a deceitful role to influence an election- trying to keep their hands clean. The FBI knew that a whole host of high ranking former intelligence officers were lying about the Biden laptop and calling it Russian psyops. The FBI knew the laptop was real. The FBI chose to suppress investigations into the laptop that would expose it as real, whether by leaks or charges being filed, and then put out a statement they knew would be used to censor the Biden laptop. Now everyone involved in that censorship and coverup can wash their hands of it and deny their own responsibility. The FBI can say they were avoiding political interference by suppressing the investigation and not putting out a specific statement. The social media companies can say they were misled by the FBI and former intel officials. The former intel officials don't have to say anything, they weren't in power. Biden can claim he was following what those intel officials had to say.

The fact checkers will tell you that they only encouraged "peaceful protests", right?

And it definitely had nothing to do with political gain or anything like that, of course

to amend my above reply, we've got this today;
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12065659/CIA-HELPED-signatures-Hunter-letter-Republicans-claim.html

The TLDR is that active CIA agents helped both draft the false letter and recruit the former officials to sign it, conspiring with those 'former officials'

The house judiciary is showing that former Deputy CIA director and Acting CIA Director Mike Morell was emailing back and forth with James Clapper to draft the 'former officials' letter and come up with their bogus description of the 'feel of russian disinformation' and pass it through the review board, then soliciting the other former officials to sign onto the statement. And during the hearings in congress, some of the officials pointed out that they were solicited by the CIA to sign the statement, not the Biden campaign / Blinken.

So to be clear, that's direct CIA involvement in the letter about the '51 former intelligence officials' that directly called the laptop Russian disinformation, which they knew was false. That's separate from the FBI warning to social media companies. But it clearly establishes that the 'former officials' letter was not just the work of private entities outside the government / in the campaign, it was put together by active CIA agents.

There's no innocent explanation? Really? Trump's FBI warning them about the presence of a politically relavent story that will amost certainly have a lot of misinfo associated with it isn't in any way a problem and there's no evidence it was acted on because of that warning.

You're literally just fabricating a scandal because it's inconvenient that Trump made real specific requests to remove stories about him from Twitter. Ignore that Trump's whitehouse actively censored stories because Trump's FBI had them be "on the lookout" for disinfo on a single Biden story.

You're being disingenuous. The FBI isn't "Trump's FBI" anymore than the CIA was "Kennedy's CIA". Bureaucracies take on a life of their own. Mueller had to resort to firing agents because of severe and inexcusable bias against Trump, and FBI brass intentionally lied to their own agents during the course of the Alfa Bank investigation specifically to damage Trump. Whatever you want to say, the FBI was clearly not a pro-Trump force.

The FBI had Hunter's laptop in their possession, and took the extraordinary step of warning Facebook and Twitter that "disinformation" regarding Hunter Biden was on the way. What you're suggesting is that the FBI had no inclination that warning Facebook and Twitter about Hunter Biden misinformation right as they knew a Hunter Biden scandal would drop would in any way influence how Facebook and/or Twitter would respond to the scandal. It's ridiculous.

My post was about the FBI warning Facebook about Russian disinformation related to Hunter Biden before the election, which is the claim Bogie made. This is referencing the story about how the FBI talked to social media companies pre-election about being on the lookout for foreign disinformation, particularly from Russia. I believe Bogie is wrong about the FBI specifically referencing Hunter Biden. From the evidence, it sounded like a general warning which made perfect sense for them to give.

Race riots have happened in the United States for decades. No politician is creating them. They happen as a result of historical discrimination and events that ignite those passions(like police killing unarmed black men). These events are entirely different than an attempted insurrection, which happened after President Trump spoke to the same crowd in Washington which went to the Capitol and committed the act. This isn't complicated stuff.

In other words, race riots happened as the result of multiple actions by police all over the country. The insurrection happened because of one man refusing to accept reality, that he lost the election. Therefore, trying to equivocate Trump's responsibility with any Democrat who talks about the need for racial justice or police reform is completely absurd.

Stop being dishonest

I never said they created them, I said they encouraged "peaceful protests" while everyone knew what was happening out there.

Keep shilling for the establishment. Pathetic

I'm perfectly willing to admit the truth, which is that some Democrats were not strong enough in condemning those destructive protests. Some were providing a rhetorical shield for them. But we'll have to deal with it line by line, because I think Democratic leadership, for the most part, were responsible in their rhetoric. And they didn't cause it.

But it's undeniably true that Trump caused January 6th. If he had simply accepted the reality of his loss, nobody is storming the Capitol that day. And this is the subject you want to avoid.
