Nah, burden of proof is on the person who claims the bible is true.

You can find trends in random numbers if you are willing to look long enough. Why multiply the remaining years and not the whole term? Why start from when Cyrus conquered and allowed them to return? Also none of the passages in Leviticus are talking about the exile, again its just picked for convenience.

The bible has a lot of numbers, you can "prove"anything if you cherry pick

The Babylonian was the second captivity which lasted 70 years, which ended in 536 B.C. If you read the beginning of Ezra, Cyrus allowed the Jews to return to rebuild the Temple of the LORD. Unfortunately only a few decided to return while the vast majority of the Jews chose to remain in the pagan Persian Empire as colonists and tradesmen. Most of the Jews did not repent of their rebellion against God.

Without a doubt it has declined.

A few generations ago being a Christian was the norm and the popularity. Being an Atheist a few generations ago was looked down upon.
Yet a generation after that the Christian hype was lost and it became that you have your beliefs and I have mine.
In the here and now it is looked down upon to be a Christian and popular to be an Atheist.

It's a good thing that popularity isn't my ultimate goal. Through all of that, God is good and God is in control.
I feel that part of the reason could be that Christians aren't being persecuted as much as they used to be.
It is a well known fact that God works in mysterious ways. The way that he works is that the more Christians are persecuted, the more popular it will become and the more people will come to believe.

How powerless must you feel when you would pull out all the stops, go on a mass murdering rampage to Christians all with the intent to drown it out forever, yet that very act is causing more people to come to Christ?

Telling the true Gospel is what I will keep doing whether it's popular or not. It's only declining in America and Europe because they are a bunch of spoiled brats. Socialism was unthinkable a generation ago. They knew better and they knew the evil that would come from it and has come from it. This new generation is blinded and arrogant. Christianity is expanding in South America, Africa and other parts of the world.

Inequalities are increasing at crazy levels, if theres not a social effort you are directly going into... a wall...
