When you basically walk away from the negotiating table (Ukrainians walked away) and then sign a law that prohibits negotiations, you give a very clear signal.

Negotiations are dead and peace won't happen until this war has exhausted one of the two sides. I hope you know what that means

If one party -really- want to make peace it will be done in no time, russia has communication channels with all countries around and Ukraine cant do much without Nato & supporting countries.

the US and england have repeatedly told their allies and ukraine not to negotiate a peace deal. it takes 2 sides to agree on a peace deal. not 1. there are several interviews that you can read about this and they were posted here in the past. look peace is not on the table in 2023. revisit this specific issue in 2024.
