Again, they issued a statement they knew was false, declaring the laptop to be Russian disinformation even though they held the laptop, had already validated it, and did so at the behest of the Biden campaign. This was used to censor and suppress the story by social media, and cited by Joe Biden at the (only) debate to deny the story. Its a direct example of the FBI interfering in an election in an indefensible way, for an undeniable and deceitful political purpose. They had no legitimate reason to lie about the laptop, and we have proof of their malicious intent.

Except the FBI giving a warning about disinformation around an upcoming story isn't an ask to censor, nor is it a lie to discredit the story, nor is it the FBI interferring in an election.

Your willingness to tell bold face lies is something I'll never understand.

Its literally all three things you just denied it is. Its an ask to censor, a lie to discredit it, and interfering in the election.

"Hey Facebook, there's going to be a lot of buzz around this story, and since it's a large story there's going to be a lot of disinformation" is not a lie, nor irresponsible, nor an attempt to discredit. It's literally just a warning that they will have increased activity about an upcoming story.

and the fact that you are so desparate to spin this into a controversy at Biden's expense when we know for a fact Trump's whitehouse actively tried to censor stories is just the icing on the cake. You've spent years attacking this story and not saying a single word about activity that is several orders of magnitude worse on the other side.

So I'll just say it again and then depart. I will never understand the mindset that allows you to be so blatantly dishonest. I'll never be comfortable just telling a blatant lie to somebody's face the way you are.

All literally true and responsible to report to social media companies to inform their decisions on how to handle the upcoming disinformation.

Notice how they didn't say to get rid of the stories and didn't give any requests on how to handle the stories.

It's pretty sad how you will try to spin what is objectively a responsible action for the FBI to take when we have literal actual attempts at censorship from Trump's whitehouse at literally the exact same time.
