The answer won't bring you any closer to God, whatever question you ask is not out of curiosity or out of genuine investigation but out of spite and anger.

You are just looking to find an excuse not to worship God. You are hoping to find it in the answer that I would have given had I not known what you are really up to.

In the past I have questioned many claims that The Bible has made and gone out to truly put it to the test. What does when I'm weak then I'm strong mean? Can nobody really serve two masters? Is it really true that he who exalts himself will be humbled and he who humbles himself will be exalted?

I would go out of my way and investigate its claims to see if what it says really is true. I would then come up with the conclusion at the end after I have thoroughly investigated and asked the elders.

So then answer the question.

If the bible said something patently ridiculous, like 2+2 = 7, that is irreconcilably false, would you still believe it?
