I remember watching a small clip of a documentary couple of weeks ago in which a group of 4-5 researchers plus 1 or two cameramen were about 20-25 feet from a group of wild gorillas and unless there was people we could not see behind the group none of them were armed. One of the gorilla who's probably higher up in the hierarchy was warning them to back off by smashing his knuckles on the ground and grunting.
I could not help that those people were absolutely bonkers, I would be pissing myself but they just like backed off and chilling near trees to show they were not dangerous.
Outnumbered by gorillas and unarmed, no thank you.
