if you are elected based on 3 promises you made, then it is erroneous to state that the other 2 promises did not exist. Therefore you can say: Zelenskiy pledged to clean up Ukraine’s oligarch-dominated ruling system, but you can also say Zelenskiy pledged to clean up Ukraine’s oligarch-dominated ruling system, end the war, and improve the standard of living. regardless you can zoom in on any of the 3 promises and talk about that but this does not mean that the other 2 promises were not made. and therefore I disagree with you. he WAS elected on a promise of peace and reconciliation (among other promises).

also both internal and external barriers, and noting he was not a real politician at the time, all had a contributing factor to where we are today in Ukraine. I would not point at Zelensky and say he "failed" but rather, things did not work out at all and the policies he adopted were key contributing factors which led to this war (policy decisions made re: Nato).

I tend to agree with the chinese in this regard: i dont care how many people he sleeps with or what his hobbies are, is he doing the job. This is what will determine if he keeps the job or not. i.e. be reasonable. but your not wrong, as a president, with this mandate

and to be clear: he is currently perceived to be doing a great job.

I believe people will tend to take the path of least resistance. Shame on Ukrainian officials who are accused of corruption if true; Well done to the Ukraine government for purging that kind of behavior.

Poland are piling the pressure on Scholz over the Leopard tanks. Germany has relented and allowed countries to begin training Ukrainians on the tanks; This could not lead to any tanks actually being sent, but is to avoid any added delay in the event of Scholz agreeing to send the hardware.

Well done to Poland for pursuing this vigorously. I've said I respect Scholz's right to consider the right choice for German people; I also think that Poland deals with their "nuclear fear" better than other countries. Perhaps owing in part to Poland's history, perhaps owing to its proximity to a powerful adversary like Russia and creating a "nothing to lose" attitude.
It is also true that indecision will cost Germany's reputation dearly. Not least among its allies and even in the Kremlin.
