Russia is not a victime: it's a terrible nuisance, a growing tumor. Recents war crimes won't give you much arguments.

I think it's a valid angle to expect Germany/EU countries to supply tanks.
EU countries have been slacking on defence for long enough.
Also the practicality of sending diesel engine tanks as opposed to jet engine tanks.

This is also the reason Germany have tanks. To defend against potential aggression from Russia.
Alternatively they could sit and rust while Scholz dithers in Berlin.

It's not, it's a laughable point when the UK wants to send 14 tanks and i'm sure that's part of why the Germans rejected the plan. They are already bearing the economic brunt of this war, more so than any other single country other than Ukraine/Russia.

To give you some perspective, not sure how current these numbers are but there were 1 million Ukrainian refugees taken in by Germany versus 154 thousand by UK.

It's flexible and nothing is decided yet. US can send different other equipments. Some countries are producing and sending ammnutions, specifically, some others have drones or artillery etc...

I think the hype is to deliver renoved "second hand" equipments which are probably easier to train with and are still more modern than what the homeless russians soldiers have.

Honestly i understand they hesitate. Second hand stocks is what we should check.

you know my stance in this useless proxy war at the expense of the ukranian people, but i dont agree with this

everything that happened after the first few weeks, when paratroopers landed in the outskirts of kiev, was a massive disappointment

russia and its military got exposed

of course they have not used their full potential and who knows what difference new tanks for ukraine can make

You are wrong about all of this and Ukraine is going to get crushed sooner or later.

The paratroopers failed because Ukrainian attacks damaged the runway before dozens of transport planes that were underway could land. Check the vid it's called the hidden battle that saved Ukraine.

Anyways the situation is very different right now and when another offensive comes (everyone agrees that it's coming) it won't be another half assed attempt like on Feb 24 2022.

It's not even a given they would make a significant difference, there is a whole host of logistical issues ranging from western tanks being too heavy for Ukrainian bridges to having 4 person crews. Even if they get past the logistical hurdles, and are able to train up an adequate number of tank crews, there is still the issue of quality not always beating quantity in tank warfare.

But yes of course Europe should ignore all of those issues and send the tanks anyway, for freedom and democracy! Scholz is gonna be a "Putin Puppet" by next week if he doesn't agree to US demands lol.
