The DNC just didnt want her to take valuable time away from the two relevant candidates during the next debate, and that makes total sense. Changing their rules on the fly to allow Bloomberg in and keep Tulsi out still exposes the DNC's lack of principle and neutrality.

The DNC's job is to facilitate a process that makes sense. Letting Bloomberg in made sense because he had significant support, and excluding Tulsi because she has pretty much no support makes sense as well. The Democratic primary's purpose is to choose a candidate who will represent the party for president, not to lift up some random Congresswoman whose next job will be at Fox News.

I don't think it's a lack of principle. They allowed 20 fucking people debate and gave insurgent candidates every opportunity to succeed. I think their principle is to balance fairness with smoothness. Allowing Bloomberg on the stage was smart because he was polling well enough to earn triple digit delegates. If he wasn't participating in the debates, he might actually be number 2 right now. I imagine if Michelle Obama decided to run, they'd allow her to debate as well. Juan Vargas? Not so much.

Bingo. Tulsi had MONTHS to garner support and the reality is that Democrats don't really like her. Sad!

You should write her in during the general election.

Oh, I totally get that. It just unfortunately contradicts everything the DNC promised at the start of this primary season: "last time, a lot of you were unhappy about our favoritism of Hillary over Bernie, so we promise a fair and transparent process this time around *fingers crossed*". Changing the rules on the fly to allow Bloomberg in and keep Tulsi out makes total sense AND at the same time totally contradicts this promise.

Also, if the increasingly tight debate qualifiers hadnt pushed out certain candidates last fall before any non-politico had even started paying attention to the race, maybe that person would be the consensus candidate of the party establishment now instead of Senile Joe.

I don't think it contradicts the premise. It's pretty transparent why they are doing what they are doing, because this is a 2 man race and the rest would muddy the waters.

I wonder what the DNC would have done if Bloomberg actually succeeded. He might be one of the only people around that is actually worse or atleast on par with Trump as far as being a terrible humans goes. Guy charged homeless people rent, among a large list of genuinely vile shit.
