Socialists often point to rich nordic/scandanavian countries as examples of 'socialism' when they are not really. As PF said they deny it themselves.
They are typically strong market economies that grew rich due to relatively free trade and natural resources, but now also have large welfare policies and high taxes.
If you take the hoppean (and others) view that socialism and capitalism are more of a scale, then they are definitely more socialist in some ways, but not really 'socialist' overall.
They certainly do have a number of big government policies that I would not support.
There are several works going over how they are not really socialist countries and poking holes in the socialists' narratives when it comes to those countries.
Here is one such article, which also goes over how the nordic model conflicts with the policies of people like Bernie Sanders and other so-called democratic socialists.
