D3 was shitty from the get go and I’m responding to shame you for liking it.
D2 was amazing for many different reasons. For me the pvp scene was what kept me around as I became an expert. The fact that you could get previous patch items was also massive for my drive to always get better. I only dueled at the end before getting hacked. I ran duelers with things like pcomb 45 lifers, 08 godlies like soul spurs , 08valk, etc.
I think it would be a great idea to work in scarcity in patch mechanics. Having some items with specific attributes only spawn before patch 1 of d4 and never again be farmed would be great. Have runewords again and don’t overwhelm players with like 27 lines of attributes for items.
Just my two cents.
D3 wasn't great but was enjoyable on launch. u could solo, u could play with friends, all classes were at least decent, and the auction house worked ok. now if that content was kept for 20 years it wouldnt be like d2, it would get old ofc.
i said when they announced new patched or expacs would push max level that they fucked up. i recognized they were losing old patch items as that's a big aspect of D2. they should go with 99 levels on launch and make anything from 90-99 be a real grind. then even if u dont find items farming levels is still a thing. instead it was an easy run to 60 and boom, done. wow had the same issue with almost no old items being used, especially post TBC when the patched many.
the mechanic to lower level req further ruined the game, u could get max level sets on like a lvl 42. and u could rift to 42 in like 5 mins. made the whole game pointless. binding items to acc or even worse char was the worst choice they made tho. diablo is an economy game, and they killed it.
