What would it take? Probably the eradication of all of humanity.

Even then, I couldn't promise you that other mammals wouldn't eventually develop new religions over millions of years.

I'm also not certain if religion exists elsewhere in the universe, and it does, what it would take to eradicate it.

Your question is difficult to answer.

As far as if the planet is better without religion, that's also tough to say. On one hand, there might be less fighting, but on the other hand, religion has brought about a lot of organization and centralization that might have helped earlier societies flourish and prosper.

then you can dedicate your life to religion, or you can dedicate to science.
...or you just try not to think about it at night

Doctor who was with my family when my grandma was in the ICU was a Christian. Anecdotal, but why can't you dedicate your life to science while having faith too?

you can. although i think it becomes contradiction at some point unless you're sticking to a particular field and not expanding. like a doctor
is it okay to "play god" if you believe in God?

What about a Dentist? My Dentist is Sikh, and is an absolute beast. Is that okay?

Lol, ain't happening. Too awkward to do that. Unless we became like really good friends or something.

But you said "then you can dedicate your life to religion, or you can dedicate to science."

What do you call a Christian Doctor, or a Sihk Dentist then? They are religious, but dedicated their life to science and improving oral / bodily care with humans?

science and faith are the same when practiced properly

there is a disconnect between the head and the heart for many in the modern world so many don't see it that way
