Like the fuck, I don't get it, your enemy is calling you a Nazi and is justifying attacking you based on that, and you really are brandishing a very common and well known cross that's associated with Nazis while addressing congress?

No it's not identical obviously but it's very close. He should be more aware of that type of signaling. That type/style of cross is known and associated with Nazis that's why it immediately drew my attention.

It's not even "very close." At best, it is "somewhat similar," but so is any other cross icon (of which the world is replete).

It's the symbol of the Ukrainian armed forces and the 'nazi iron cross' was a symbol of the Prussian empire long before it was used by Nazis

The swastika was also a symbol of something prior WW2, than doesn't change the fact that it's become a symbol of Nazism. The Iron cross is also a symbol that's closely associated with Nazism. You could replace the Ukrainian insignia in the middle with a swastika and change the color to black and it's literally the iron cross.

Imagery matters, he should know better.

Change it black, flatten the ends of the 4 points, as well as flare them out. No, it is not "literally the iron cross."

The guy is Jewish, he's not gonna put on the iron cross, and I'm not gonna accept "there are Nazis in Ukraine" being used to justify attacking them, especially when Russia uses actual Nazis (the Wagner group) to attack them.

He means as a media/public person you can't have any message or gesture which could be interpreted in a harmful way for the cause. ofthevoid saw it as a swastika. There are probably more people like him. There'll be propagandist from Russia who'd try to claim he is a nazi.
A shirt would've done the job. As much as he wants to act as a defender of his nation, he is no soldier. He is their president. Appearance matters.
