Good. Comey sucks. Trump has done a great job exposing the FBI for their shenanigans.

Thank god. I think this presidential campaign hurt her political image more than it boosted her. Some high-profile gaffes and beefs.

She's 70 years old, this was her one shot at the presidency. And if she wants to, she'll still win reelection to her Senate seat with ease. I'd say it was worth a try. Also, she might still get a VP nomination or a cabinet position out of it.

Fun fact that I just read: if Bill Clinton, whose two-term presidency ended 19 years ago, would participate in this year's primary, he'd be the youngest major candidate of the current Democratic field.

I thought Elizabeth Warren would've done better. It was a terrible showing and I agree it's best she's out now.

Somebody mentioned to me earlier today that people don't want to see a woman become U.S. President.
But I don't think that's necessarily true. Hillary Clinton dominated the popular vote during the last election.

She literally defeated Trump in a landslide, and Trump once foolishly tweeted that the popular vote should be all that matters.

I dont buy into this "the country isnt ready yet for a female president"-narrative. The country was ready to elect a woman president in 2016 - it just didnt want that woman to be Hillary Clinton.

It might, however, not be ready to trust someone like Warren: a wonky, frail woman with the habitus of a teacher.

Still, she might have been a functioning compromise candidate between those who wanted to go to the left on policy and those who wanted a candidate who promises a return to normalcy. But then she committed a huge strategic mistake when she signed onto Bernie's calls for ending private insurance. That was the moment she became unpalatable to the more moderate or electability-focused voters.

It was certainly worth the effort and could still pay off (and will pay off with book sales etc). But it went pretty poorly considering how well she was doing this past summer and all the talk in 2018 and 2019 surrounding her candidacy (the "middle" pick between the Establishment Dems and Progressive Left).
