The reason the mRNA from the vaccine gets into your cells is because it's conjugated to a particle that is specifically designed for your cells to "eat". Your cells eat the particle with the RNA, and then the particle also causes the cells to blow up the vessel it used to "eat" the particle, which releases the RNA into your cells.

mRNA doesn't get into the nucleus of a cell. It's specifically exported from the nucleus of cells into the cytoplasm, so even if by chance it gets into the nucleus it will be actively transported out.


So now we have to get a bit into how your cells detect viral infection. When a cell is infected with a virus it starts making viral RNA/DNA, and also the protein capsule of the virus. The protein capsule will have several different proteins on it. One of those is the spike protein that is used to stimulate cells to take up the virus in the first place.

Your cells will randomly chop up proteins they are creating, and display them outside on the cell membrane. Immune cells come by and look at the proteins, and decide if there's anything foreign. If it sees a foreign protein, it recognizes that the cell is infected with a virus and kills it. Then it carries the foreign protein to your lymph nodes and shows it to your B-cells, which produce antibodies to the foreign protein.

So when you use a "fake virus" to inject mRNA that only codes for the spike protein, you can mimic a viral infection and expose your immune system to just the spike protein in a way that is very similar to how you normally build immunity. This allows you to make antibodies to the spike protein without having to have a full-blown viral infection.

(vaccines dont give a "full-blown" infection thats the point of them they us a weakened strain or dead strain of what your trying to vaccinate against and then after that it only involves the immune system and doest burden the cells with xtra workload of foreign mRNA.

im not claiming DNA mutations thats just a straw man that keeps getting thrown around to red herring the dialog

You could call it mRNA gene therapy, but when you say gene therapy most people will think permanent modification of genes. mRNA is highly temporary, so there's no permanent modification.

Increasing a cells work load doesn't really make sense. Cells aren't little workers. They're regulated systems. If a cell is doing "too much" it will slow down or stop to recover, and it has ways to sense permanent damage and kill itself.

If your only concern is that cells are "over-worked" with these vaccines, then I'll tell you flat out that's not a concern. If it were we would be seeing necrosis at the injection site pretty quickly.



I would look at the CDC guidelines for who should and shouldn't get the vaccine, and go with that. So far it doesn't seem to be a concern. They will actually single out indivdual groups and study them with the vaccine before mass deployment, so there are specific studies for pregnant women and small children.
