Trump took this one home

Mic muting definitely working in trumps favor here

Baited Biden into some traps, biden playing defense most of the debate imo

Don’t think this will do much to swing the needle though

It probably wont be enough to swing the election to the point where Trump wins. He can definitely still win, but it is highly unlikely as of right now, and the debate didnt change this status quo of the presidential race tooooo much.

I do think, however, that Trump's performance tonight will have a significant impact on the downballot races which are hanging in the balance. The chances for Republicans to hold the Senate imho have gone up meaninfully because of this debate. It will help consolidate and galvanize the Republican base, particularly the upcoming soundbites of Biden stating that he wants to get rid of the oil industry and to grant full amnesty.

I just posted in my thread but it was Trump +155 then +150 then +145 then +140, and Biden was -185 then -180 then -175

Is it just me or did it feel like the moderator wouldn't let Trump finish or barely respond? She would constantly say "were moving on! were moving on another subject". But when Biden was quickly responding she wouldn't say anything and give him a full minute.

how can anyone say trump took this one home because he acted less like a buffoon than the last one. he still hasnt said a single thing about policy or platform. he has no plans to help everyday people but a lot of plans to keep himself out of investigations and line his pockets. guys want to talk about hunter biden making money, they forget that hunter is a lawyer who has worked on boards of directors and was appointed by bush to do so.

trumps kids??? all grift....china gave hunter biden 3.5 mill? china holds a ton of trump's debt as well as gave ivanka 35 licenses and patents during the trade war. incoming whataboutism from trumpers on its way.

I mean, I gave Trump a 5% chance and I think that's within the confines of reality. A LOT of things have to go right for Trump for him to win and I just don't see the stars lining up for him this time.

I think the 12-13% fivethirtyeight gave Trump were about right. A 1 in 8 chance is not a lot, but it's not nothing either. With tonight's debate, I think his chances moved up to maybe 15 or 16%. From 1 in 8 to 1 in 7 or so.
5% or 1 in 20 is far too low imho.
