How much of the rioting was actually black people who would live in that low income housing, vs how much was entitled white antifa college kids burning down the black neighborhood?
Its not like the LA Riots where it was black people lynching white people. It might be the case for the looting, but a lot of the arson and property damage was from white people

if there's one thing that irks me in these situations is woke whiteys speaking for and acting on behalf of black people. "Black people have been denied a voice for too long, but i'm one of the good whiteys and can speak for them". like what?

Yeah, peaceful protest never achieves anything. I mean... just image for a second that the 1963 March on Washington had ended in widespread rioting and looting - does anyone think the Civl Rights Act of 1964 would have been passed in that case?

This violence is extremely counterproductive and buries the good cause/case the Minneapolis black community had.

You would need a leader without a hole in the head to lead that.

Who stepping up the get shot in the head and have a day to remember them by?

Also the Cincinnati riots worked for police reform. Officer roach killed Timothy Thomas, We rioted, The police went on strike and the city didn't burn down, and then we were able to have a conversation that led to something. Now we have a professional police force with a good relationship with its community.

But that summer somebody was strangled in handcuffs, A morbidly obese guy was tazed to the death in a White Castle parking lot, And a cop shot an unarmed guy over tickets because he was scared.

Only problems we have are with University of Cincinnati cops. Fucking Ray Tensing shot a guy in the back of the head while wearing a confederate battle flag shirt under his uniform.

The last peaceful protests was black lives matter and you guys laughed at them and say all lives matter.

BLM has gone nowhere.

You would be saying that right now about John Brown, you're just in a reactionary phase.

And he'd be right. Extremists who do more harm to their cause than good don't deserve accolades.
The best thing John Brown did was fail and die, because if he had succeeded instead of a black liberation movement there'd be a black extermination movement.

John Brown didn't just speak for black people, he put his life on the line. These cowards are just overgrown pyro opportunists. they dont care about the cause, they just care about being in a cause. they are a coin flip, half end up in antifa half end up in white nationalist groups. it's a personality flaw, not a reaction to actual circumstances in neighborhoods they wouldnt be caught dead in.

if you're referring to me i have a bachelors in criminal justice, more credits than inches long of your hard member in policing in the USA, and worked nearly a decade in state and federal prisons rehabilitating convicts to help them reintegrate successfully into society. so, if you're speaking about me, shut the fuck up.

Describing the roots and origins of riots =/= speak for black people.

Why aren't there any worth a shit programs to reduce recidivism?

I'm not sure if any of these program's focus on getting people from prisons and to work spaces as opposed to getting people from prisons back into prisons. I've been working with people for a while and I've never met a helpful probation officer for example, just a threatening one.

Wtf?

/e well i have worked with a few helpful POs.
