The idea is to shift the money to education and what not. Which is all fine and dandy and a good cause as long as you don't dismantle the police in the process

This whole notion of "the cops have to pay" and without cops everything will be better is ludicrous.

People are indeed calling for 'defunding' or 'abolishing' the police. However, that means something very complex, multi-layered, and incapable of being captured by an understanding of leaving us with no police, no plan, and mere "chaos".

Ain't no multilayered about it. You take away the police (as Ilhan Omar is asking for) will destroy that city.

If folks want to spend more on education, social services et al., that's fine. There's no need to defund the police to do so. As I said before, you turn the police into a politically correct bunch of soyboi emasculates, you might as well just hand the country over to the crooks.

It's pretty obvious that the left has gone bat shyt crazy.
