even better. starbucks just makes a program that you take the order# from your receipt as the wifi password, and only let it work once. u have to request another at the front desk. problem solved without even riling up the left, unless this is also discrimination...

“it’s discrimination against minorities cuz they cant afford to purchase items at starbucks!!!”

I think they were meeting at Starbucks to go elsewhere. If you're at starbucks with the intention to order food, but your buddy is on the way, and the manager asks you to leave because you're not customers, what do you do? Order a drink and sit the fuck back down. Either they never intended to order, or they were just being difficult for no reason. Seems silly they got a trespass charge (later dropped), but that also leads down the being difficult for an unknown reason road. If you wont leave when told to by the manager usually the cops showing up is an "ok ok ill go" moment. most people aren't gonna take an arrest and charge just for kicks. while this could be interpreted to be some sort of Soros is hiring people to do this tinfoil theory i'm just suggesting they're difficult people who made it hard on themselves for no reason. some people don't like to be told no, and will double down and dig their heels in against all common sense and as many good outs as their offered. seems like these 2 fit the bill and ran into the wrong kind of manager who is of the same type of personality.

They arrived at 4:35 for a 4:45 meeting and 911 (!!) was called at 4:37. LOL.

Why would they meet inside Starbucks to go somewhere else and not order anything lol? It's possibly the intended on having the meeting there without ordering but who knows?

Btw

Maybe next time better to ask them if they intend on ordering anything before calling 91-fucking-1 lmao.

Also btw the manager was fired and the police commissioner went back on his original statement.

firstly, when planning my wedding we had multiple people that wanted to do meetings at starbucks. none of them ever ordered anything. one guy was there so often he sweet talked a server girl into making a drink for him out of all free components. water with ice and some of the fruit they add to stuff. its really common by me anyways for people to take advantage of the free wifi and cushy chairs if they have time to kill.

i'm glad the manager got fired, she's for sure at fault for escalating it. i just find it hard to believe she plainly asked them to leave without first asking if they'd order anything. "get out" seems a lot less likely than "you need to order something if you're going to stay here (waits for answer) ok then i need to ask you to leave." which then clearly escalated to a 911 call too soon, and an arrest that shouldn't have happened.

my main point is that racial bias may be less at play than a particularly bitchy manager, potentially on a bitchy day, with above average stubbornness customers.

I believe one report said the manager let them know cops were getting called to remove them, presumably this was their easy as fuck out. either order then or leave. they chose to sit and get arrested, and not order anything.

another point is they've surely had people removed from that location for loitering given the homeless population. so they have a procedure for it, even if it's being applied to the wrong people. i think a large part of the narrative for racial bias rests on the speed this all happened, if its routine procedure that's less noteworthy.

They were pressured to back down by the leftist mob. Multiple store guests confirmed their original story about violent loiterers.

Quote (ABC 6 News)
PHILADELPHIA -- Outrage is mounting after two men were arrested at a Philadelphia Starbucks, and an eyewitness said a manager escalated the situation by calling police instead of asking the men to buy something or leave.

Lauren, who asked that her last name not be used, shot video of the two men being arrested at the Starbucks just before 5 p.m. on April 12. She said the incident began after the men asked to use the bathroom and were told that it was only available for paying customers, which Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross later confirmed.

After the men had been "quietly hanging out, chatting and waiting for their friend," she said officers entered the restaurant and asked the two men to leave, saying that they would be trespassing if they did not leave.

"The two young men politely asked why they were being told to leave and were not given a reason other than the manager wanted them to leave," she told ABC in an email.

The men told the officer that they were waiting for a friend to arrive and offered to call that friend to prove that they had legitimate business at the restaurant, she said.

At that point, she said several officers began to move tables and chairs around the two men and take them into custody.

The friend for whom the men were waiting then arrived and attempted to intervene, but police told him the men "were not paying customers and thus were trespassing," Lauren recalled.

"The two men stayed calm and did not raise their voices once. Everyone else in the Starbucks, however, was appalled," she added.

Lauren said another woman had entered the Starbucks minutes before the men were arrested and was given the bathroom code without having to buy anything and that another person in the restaurant at the time of the incident "announced that she had been sitting at Starbucks for the past couple of hours without buying anything."

Tuna (who chose not to use his last name) says this whole story is bullshit and is being taken as fact because it fits the narrative
