We have told you many times, there is no NATO in Poland, fuck the missiles in Romania. You didn't listen, fat niger Obama killed children in Donbass. All the games are over, now we destroy everything to Berlin and animals will be seen there, or will we leave anyone from here at all, or will the gas chamber simply float away together.

Ukraine was decades from joining NATO, if that.
Feel free to provide evidence to support the contrary.

Are we supposed to believe Putin actually believed Ukraine was close to joining NATO?

Or is it more likely that Ukraine offered multiple vectors of benefit to the Russian Federation, natural resource, transit pipelines, Black sea access.

If Putin is able to take Ukrainian territory by force, is apologised for by the ill informed and is rewarded for aggression.
Then it sets a dangerous precedent for other nations in proximity to Russia and elsewhere in the world.

We don't appease tyrants, no matter how many apologies you make.
