some hispanic guy in a vehicle is being chased by protesters trying to hang onto it, unclear what happened prior to the video but there's one black guy pounding away at the windows. He accelerates to get away from him, then slows down in front of the crowd and stops (while our guy filming keeps screaming 'oh god oh jesus oh god'), then the black guy and other protesters catch up to the vehicle and start pounding on it, black guy reaching in through window and is trying to pull the driver out through it when the drivers shoots him with a pistol. Crowd backs up a bit, hispanic guy gets out of his vehicle and casually strolls away through the crowd and walks up to the police and turns himself in

black guy survived with minor gunshot wound, nobody was hit by the car, driver was arrested and gun recovered
black guy went on video immediately after the shooting and openly admitted to punching him in the face before getting shot.

all the videos I've seen start after he's already driving down the street with people banging on the side of his vehicle. We can't see what happened prior to that, but there's clearly already people chasing and attacking him at that point, and he makes a point of slowing down and stopping to avoid running anyone over. You can see the same black guy was hanging onto his vehicle as he drove, holding onto the window and refusing to let go, and then he catches up with him, goes up to his window and attacks him again and gets shot. There's another video of the black guy afterwards where he says he was punching him in the head before he got shot. Ironically the comments on those twitter posts are dismissing it as self defense even as the guy openly admits he attacked him first, and calling the black guy a hero

No idea what he was doing there, but he obviously slowed down to avoid ramming into the crowd, hence the mob having a go at trying to get him through the window.
