A discussion of such magnitude especially this current war, the up and coming Taiwan Conflict and the one that is slowly brewing between Serbia and Kosovo canonly be debated or discussed if we strip away all ideologue and look at it as it is.

Every country or side wants / needs to rally their citizens behind their cause so all of them use propaganda. That's just reality.

The thing is that the West used to value independent journalism, trying to cover events from a neutral standpoint.

That's no longer the case, we see the wildest claims being pumped out and brainwashed simps just lap it up.

Journalists can't even travel to the front lines independently, they're taken on a guided tour by spotlessly clean Ukrainian soldiers showing only destroyed Russian hardware and dead Ukrainian civilians.

When von der Leyen said that over 100K Ukrainian soldiers have died the statement was immediately corrected (taken down) and no further mentioning of any Ukrainian casualties.

That is true.
I mean BBC used to be a trusted news source especially in the 70s / 80s and maybe early 90s.
There used to be some sort of integrity then. Just none anymore.

I would say in my opinion, the internet / social media and the ability for almost everyone to have access to it changes everything.
It is without the doubt one of the greatest invention but perhaps also the greatest challenge to mankind.
