The Democratic Party is more capitalist than the Republican Party in general, yes. Hence their hate for a slightly moderate guy who wants reform capitalism and not even socialism.

Not once they heard from the other Democratic candidates. Even if Bloomberg and his policies are acceptable to Republicans, him winning the election would still enable and empower a ton of loony liberals riding his coattails.

^^
But for real: having Bloomberg on the same stage and debating with all the other candidates will remind viewers that a centrist like Bloomberg is not representative of the contemporary Democratic party. Until now, most voters know of Bloomberg from his ads and some tepid media reports. This makes it easy for him to frame himself as a pragmatic, unideological problem-solver who's staying above the fray. The more he engages with the other Democratic candidates, the more he will get dragged into the partisan trenches.

That's the unfortunately reality of a two party system - a centrist needs to declare a side just to get into the big race and create confusion with voters over party lines. America no longer labels its people, isn't it time we stepped away from party ideologies and evolved into focusing on the right thing politically the way we focus on the right thing socially? xD

Bloomberg is a pandora's box of hot garbage. Democrats are resorting to picking a racist Republican to be the leader now? This is the guy who changed the rules so he could have a third term as Mayor. While Republicans had nightmares of Obama staying after his second, and Democrats have them with a Trump second/third term. Bloomberg actually pulled it off as Mayor O.o

That's just not possible in a country which is deeply divided on just about any issue between two blocs of roughly equal size. And the policy views are so diametrically opposed on a lot of hot-button issues that meaningful compromise is impossible, so partisan gridlock is the only possible outcome.
