So Ukraine changed leadership and their mind about NATO. They originally in 06-08 were stating that they wanted to start the process of joining NATO (MAP)
Putin doesn't like it. Doesn't make it ok to bomb civilians. /end.
You are so upset over the US attacking Iran, but this is just "geo politics" you changing your stance. IE defending RU.

It was a coup

And why would I be upset about Iran? I'm just pointing out that regime will crush the protests like they always do

I get this.. economic and political pressures to push against gov't alignments that you disagree with.
not bombing cuz "geo politics"

But isn't that slightly veering towards geo politics as well?
Look when I stated the above of what the US did in Latin America, I want to put this straight and I am using a rather Amoral point of view to look at it.
I don't think it is wrong or right. It is in the interest of the United States to do it and I might even slightly support it if I am part of corporate America.

Google 2008 NATO summit. I believe I posted the actual link for you a couple times but you seem to be one of those guys that don't get it.

Your trying to justify a war that benefits an oppressive dictator. We all get it.

Putin has been funding and supporting separatism in eastern Ukraine for decades.
He never had any intention of respecting Ukraines sovereignty.

He showed disdain for the Budapest agreement from the beginning of his autocracy.

So go back as far as you want.

Go back to the collapse of the USSR.
Go back to 90% of Ukrainians voting to secede from the Soviet union.
Go back to the holodomir.

I agree that Putin can't allow a free, democratic and western aligned Ukraine to exist.
Or as you call it "NATO" expansion.
The reason he cannot accept it, is not for any other purpose, than to secure his regimes existence.

Russians and Ukrainians are alike. No dictator would allow a nation of like minded people next door to exist in freedom.
Far too dangerous.

Invading Ukraine has much less to do with the security of Russians, as it does the security of Putins regime.

Proceed as you wish, I'm through reasoning with subjective and framed responses.
Only remember that denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

Majority of Russians supported Putin, majority of Ukrainians supported Yanukovych. Turns out democracy was never America's greatest export

That may be true, and the Russian system is still a dictatorship.
Do some research.
