and you'll see Jan 6th was just as violent as any single day BLM protest

But if that was the case, then the core argument is affirmed, isn't it? If both events had comparable levels of violence, property damage and disruption of the public order once we normalize them on a per-day basis, then there would indeed be a massive double standard in how the media and Democrats treat the two events...

The crux is that Democrats consider the cause and the thrust of the BLM riots to be justied while they consider the cause and thrust of Jan 6th as illegitimate. Vice versa for the hard core of Trump supporters; with normies and mainstream Republicans being ashamed and critical of both. They of course still try to sweep Jan 6 under the rug out of cynical political calculus, just like Democrats in 2020 spurred on the BLM protests and looked the other way at the violence and property damage out of cynical political calculus (high black voter energy/turnout, plus unrest under Trump's watch).

One is outrage and property damage most people dont agree with, even democrats, but some fan the flames to try and boost votes and hope it doesnt come to their city. Burning BLM cities do not have as widespread support as the GOP pretends it does. and the goal is to get a cop charged for murder.

One was a run on the electoral vote certification to try and stop the legitimately voted in president from taking office.

context matters, one is stupid property damage, one is an insurrection. an ineffectual and pointless insurrection, it never had a chance of working, but one none the less.

u really eat shit facebook memes for breakfast huh?

dozens, maybe even hundreds of protests in cities across the nation over a long time span compared to a single protest on a single day?

then it lists BLM as national encouragement, when half of the nation screeches about it, which is the same as Jan 6th. half dont care, half are mad.

divide the dmg and injuries of all BLM by the # of protests and you'll see Jan 6th was just as violent as any single day BLM protest, yet you say it was blown out of proportion.

Yep hundreds of "mostly peaceful" protests while buildings are set on fire and looted. Calling it "mostly peaceful" is effectively downplaying that BLM shitshow right there.

Jan 6th was called a danger to American democracy when in reality we're looking at a handful of only the most radical Trump supporters, talking about blowing things out of proportion, lol.

BLM riots were massive and encouraged by politicians that were never held accountable.

YOU seem to be eating MSM shit for breakfast on a daily basis, lol. Tool

It is incredible how people still scream “insurrection” even after an actual insurrection happened almost 100% because of the United States in Afghanistan.

Y’all got to see what an insurrection actually is, yet that got widely ignored despite the, “well that wasn’t good but it was Donald trump’s fault” BS.

Yet one of the mildest recent riots becomes insurrection. It goes directly over y’all’s heads that every BLM riot is textbook insurrection. Never heard the word once come out of anybody’s mouth then, despite how much worse the damage and casualty count was.

i dont support the BLM protests at all, feel free to page back to the george floyd thread if you like where u can see me arguing against users such as thor, skinned, and handcuffs where i denounced property damage.

Jan 6th was a storm in a tea pot. But with everything orange man related it was blown out of proportion because his opponents are deathly scared of him. It's a continuous cycle of slinging shit at Trump because they are afraid of the political influence he has. Instead of having good ideas to one up him it's years upon years of finding something else that this time he can't be forgiven for.

The 1/6 commission has been going for 14 months. The 9/11 commission went for 21 months. But don't let facts get in the way of dishonest shitposting.

That's what you get for expecting intellectual honesty. FB memes.

The scope and success chances of Jan 6th were blown out of proportion, but the underlying intent was indeed vile and dangerous.

They had no chance, but let's hypothetically assume the mob had succeeded at taking over the Capitol and stopping the EC vote - do we seriously think Trump would have had any reservations about overthrowing the election and staying in office based on the power of a violent mob?

You seem to have failed to real my post, sir. I said you have failed to recognize textbook insurrection and call it what it is, rather you say “1-6 insurrection” as if it is the worst thing that happened even within the previous year.

Not many real people supported the blm riots, not a single person called them insurrection. Except me.
