Who am I to decide for Ukrainians what's better for them? But if you ask me then, for this moment a better decision is to let Russia have Crimea and Ukranrle to stay neutral while having the rest of it's territory (Crimea was an autonomous republic within Ukraine untill Ukraine took this privelege away). Formally there could be a referendum with predictable results to recognize Crimea as Russian territory officially).

I'm not asking if the West thinks it's a good idea. Do you think it's a good idea. Or you don't want to say, I'll take that as an answer too.

That is quite a difficult question.
But I am trying to put myself in the shoes of an Ukrainian.

The West wants Russia to be a buffer zone between NATO countries and China, so by this strategy Russia will be surrounded by NATO, it's a matter of time. Moldova, Georgia, may be some ex-CSTO members are next to apply if it (CSTO) ceases to exist by a reason that Russia doesn't protect it's members well enough (Armenia, for example). So I don't see this conflict to end in the nearest future, even more: Transnistria, Kosovo, Karabakh and Abkhazia/Osetia will be set on fire.

I believe Norlander is Russian.

For the Ukrainians, I think they have no other choice now than to go with the West and fight because Russia will never forget this. No more Slavic brothers.

But I think it's a bad idea and Ukraine will get wrecked because Russia is not going to give in.

Half-Russian, 1/4 Pole, 1/4 Hungarian (Ukrainian speaking from West Ukraine).
