Yeah I get that but we were talking about that trans dude, I mean woman, who self identifies as a deer and is now installed in Twitch's Safety Counsel and wants to ban voice chat altogether because white males have an advantage over other players when voice chat is allowed.

I mean it's beyond wierd. No?

I'm not sure what the advantage is. I play Warzone with my wife and she splits wigs. She is also an IT manager by this point and does well enough in a male dominated field.

when the white man speaks the lesser breeds/sexes know it's time to listen because a born leader has arrived. and team without a white male is clearly lacking top down instruction required to achieve victory.

I recently realized the era that Tarzan and King Kong were written in, and the now obvious subtext.

Tarzan, a white child is abandoned in the jungle and masters it.... ignoring that there are black people who have lived there their whole lives and never mastered it to the degree a white child just naturally could.... When I realized the time it was written the subtext stood out.

And King Kong... an ape being forcibly transported to America who then kidnaps a white woman....

Yeah, once the basic premise was pointed out it became obvious and I feel silly never realizing it.

The more you learn the more this kind of thing stands out.

Like the black dudes didn't have all kind of stories / myths / which craft. Some of em chop albinos in small pieces that are then used as some kind of talisman or whatever. That's all good and well as long as you're not going to tell us we aren't allowed to mention it cuz it's their culture.

The real reason people get testy when you say that kind of thing is because it ignores a couple things. One being that weird and violent rituals and religious traditions have been common in any group of people at different times. Two being that "the black dudes" aren't one group of people at one level of development, Africa is an entire continent after all. Three being that when you ignore those things you get dangerously close to the arguments that racists used to use to support their racism, even if that isn't your intention. There's more, and I can't speak to what everybody feels, but you should see pretty clearly why the kind of statement you made isn't only factually incorrect, it shows willful ignorance.

i dont think that's an accurate assessment of Tarzan. he is abandoned in the wild and only lives because he's raised by apes. he doesnt master anything any more than an ape baby masters the jungle. much like Jungle Book or Romulus and Remus before it, the implication is that without being taken in by animals the child would die.

as to King Kong, that's 100% plausible subtext for the era tho. no disagreements there.

The comment was not racist it's meant to point out the blacks have their quirky stories just like the whites.

Note that we are speaking about "the whites" so we can just as well speak about "the blacks". We are not treating any group different than the other in that regard.

As far as I know the Tarzan story was never meant to be racist either, I remember Tarzan getting along with the black villagers perfectly well. It's just some kind of early super hero told from a white perspective.

So there are more clips of this deer dude including one where he states to go out in his yard on all fours to munch grass.

Some of the clips are just disturbing to watch. This person is now on Twitch's Trust and Safety Counsel. Yep it's 2020

Regarding King Kong being a racist metaphor for "savage blacks" trying to rape or consensually miscegenate with white women:

I still dont get what the actual fuck Vogue magazine was thinking when they chose this particular pose for LeBron's big cover...
