At first look it could seems unfair, but it's well know that Orthodox Church got completely infected by KGB/FSB since at least the 50'. Btw this is how and why they survived soviet era.

That's not something specific to the Russian orthodox church. Over the past century, the mainstream church has happily collaborated with the nazis, with Mussolini, with the military dictatorships in Latin America and with all sorts of warlords in Africa. Going beyond Christianity, you have religious institutions supporting radical zionists in Israel, the Mullah regime in Iran, an infinite amount of Sunni extremists and terorist militias, and the military dictatorship in Myanmar.

Tldr: mainstream religious institutions are trash and always willing to betray their purported values to cozy up to whoever is in power at any given moment. Which is also why mainstream Christian churches in Europe and NA are lately embracing wokism and climate change hysteria.
