at the most basic level trump incited his followers and a riot ensued. i think all sides should be able to agree with that. however, what that means for trump, for republicans, for america, i have no clue. if i was the arbiter i would bar him from senior positions in the government, but thats just me. before ppl jump on me, i already said yesterday he had some good (and some bad!) policies / decisions. he overplayed his hand at the time.
How did Trump incite a riot? Was it his multiple calls for peaceful political mobilization that precede the riot, or his call for deescalation and telling people to go home in peace, when it broke out? Trump didn't use any of the incendiary rhetoric and overt calls for escalation that Democrats are using all the time, see Maxine Waters and all the SCOTUS intimidation. Heck Lee Zeldin's opponent was using more charged language against him, and a deranged guy tried to stab him, is that the democrat's fault?
Trump blustered along like usual and refused to take accountability for his loss. He didn't direct imminent violence. Theres a difference between being a blowhard and a firebrand, and its not subtle, and no amount of DNC projection given primetime slots by a colluding media will ever change that nothing Trump has ever said or sone measures up to even 1/100 of what Democrats incites in Minneapolis after George Floyd
