Wouldn't it be smart to maybe buy more parts? Or other military hardware? Or use the money to help offset the effects of western sanctions?

It's not a "crime company" if it's sanctioned and funded by the government, it's just an extension of Russian intelligence.

Because Moralists always think they are right and their values are supreme over everyone else. And if you disagree and have different opinions you are a bot, troll and someone who is gutter trash, while they virtue signal on the interwebs showing how educated and above everyone else they are.

Russia does need to have propaganda in the west, so that they are free to do what they want.
They need a friendly USA president.
They cant really win vs NATO, so they need to break NATO first into pieces, and then start eating one by one.

About how do I know Im right. Imagine that my country was under Russian occupation or resisting it for 300years.
My own uncle was kidnapped like 80 years ago by Russian and sent to freezing Syberia, only because he was a policeman and Russians wanted to get rid of such people.
Its good he wasnt a highly educated person, because Russians kill such people instead of sending to Syberia.
I know people from Russia, they want their empire back.
They want to occupy all of the people that were in the past under Russian occupation. They live imperialistic dream.
What happens next they rebuild empire, only god knows.

Sounds like you have a lot of emotional investment in this, which doesn't generally lead to the most logical thinking. Sorry your family experienced all that but it doesn't really make you an expert or more informed than anyone else and more likely makes it so you have a harder time viewing things from the Russian perspective.

Russians are not a monolith, some support the war, some don't. Some want to reunite the "empire" some dont. Just like any other country or people they have varied and diverse views on things. Describing them as all of one mind shows you aren't thinking rationally but emotionally.

They do not have the capability to conquer all of Ukraine, much less any other part of Europe. Whether they want to or not. "Playing it safe" would be staying out of the conflict.
