How did Europe cease to be a good customer? I would argue that doing business under the barrel of a gun, or in this a nuclear missile. Is not a preferred situation for any customer.
Ukraine supports the main onshore pipelines for gas supply to Europe. Putin has suggested he is prepared to use a tactical nuke in Ukraine. If I am a purchaser of natural gas, and my business depends on the security of those pipelines. I might suggest that is an existential threat to my business. Ergo unreliable.
We've seen that Russia can't even defend its pipeline infrastructure. NS1 + NS2 were sabotaged by UK Navy commandos riding Nazi dolphins. How can Russia be reliable if they can't de-nazify the ocean populations?
How didn't Europe cease to be a good customer? Applying sanctions and cutting Russia off from the banking system in order to force Russia to accept less money for their products is one step removed from theft.
Noone is doing business over the barrel of a gun or nuke on any side. Putin has been very specific about what would justify a nuke, and your nonsense isn't it.
Russia isn't allowed to put military resources in NATO territory to defend pipelines don't be ridiculous. Only a propaganda guzzler could be as blind as you are. That has no impact on their reliability and much impact on NATO's.
